Kamakura to Nagano

Today we packed up our lovely apartment in Kamakura. Taro's House was a great place to stay. Central to everything in Kamakura, great views and really comfortable. We found it on Airbnb and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for looking for accommodation outside of
Tokyo but within reach when you want it.

We travelled on our first shinkansen (bullet train) to get to Nagano. Incredible experience. More comfortable than an airline, smooth as silk and soooo fast. A great way to travel. Nagano was a big change from Tokyo. Immediately we were aware of the extra space, the extra cold and the proliferation of Australian accents. It feels like everywhere we turn we are running into Australians. We are staying at the Hotel Metropolitan which is right (and I really mean right) next door to the Nagano JR Station. Amazing views of the mountains.

  1. Because I'm sure you need to know. That Shinkansen is new. Only released in 2017. See I am a font of knowledge. I'm hoping some express through Nagano. Speed is amazing to see. Enjoy your travels. Dani
